Sometimes the wife of a pastor faces stress from congregational expectations, ministry overload, church conflict, or other issues or relationships. The Rosedale Network Executive Board has appointed the following persons to serve as resources to hurting pastors’ wives within Rosedale Network. All of these women have served long tenures as the wives of ministers within Rosedale Network and have made themselves available for this ministry. A brief description of their education, church experiences, spiritual journey, and family life is enclosed along with a photo. If you are the wife of a Rosedale Network minister in need of encouragement, support, advice, and prayer, you are encouraged to make initial contact with one of these persons via email with further contact, such as an exchange of phone numbers, arranged as needed.

Edna Shetler is married to Mel and has six children and fourteen grandchildren. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior around the age of thirteen. She served as a pastor’s wife for forty years. Her education includes a degree from Rosedale Bible College. Edna writes “My heart is especially drawn to pastors’/leaders’ wives because it can be a lonely road. It is hard to find someone to share with about struggles regarding church members/issues or marriage because it is hard to find a safe place. I want to be that safe place because I know how lonely it can be. At the same time, loneliness has become my best friend because it drew me to Him!
